Team Atrox five part profile is now up at running. Team Atrox, just like punch, is great.
We are now in a period that I like to call "The dead before the Comic Con". We're packing out Comic Con survival kits: bandages, ointments, lots of Imodium, a fair amount of Ipecac, headache medication, and a pill of cyanide. And that, my friends, just covers Preview Night!
Honest Abe, we're really getting ready for Comic Con. As of now we are gearing up to shoot some promos for the con in July which'll star my brother-in-law, Mr. Didgeridoo himself. We have a lot of prep to go, including getting out Square TV t-shirts, Square TV stickers, Square TV the lunchbox, Square TV the flamethrower.... ok, maybe not the stickers.

Memorial Day away away
Muchos craziness at Square TV! Memorial Day weekend was fun filled (except for the sinus infection) and exciting for us as we spent Sunday morning with Team Atrox! Paul, Leslie, Frank and Jeff were super friendly and engaging. Big Chief is working his fingers to da bone to get the videos (4 parts, I think) up and ready to rock. I think everyone will agree that it is our best work to date. Michele kicked kitty tail in this one, and a cameo from yours truly.
Also working on the official Square TV t-shirt. Here it is, in female form. It can be placed onto any type of shirt, really, but I figure I'd rather look at the female form if its going to be advertised. Working hard to get the Mad Sea Dog interview done and on the site. I expect it to be done by Wednesday.

Still crazy busy at Square TV, folks.
Last night was super long, but worth it because both reporter Michele's interview w/Elephant Eater's Ryan Claytor and my profile of Real Gone Girl's Miriam Libicki are up for your enjoyment.
Still working on my profile of Mad Sea Dog's Benjamin Ilka, and I expect that it'll be up by Friday or Saturday at the latest.
We now have business cards! Thanks are due to Ivette of Staples for helping me put together a nice business card in Publisher!
Another huge thanks goes out to Wendilady (..love you..) for transcribing all of my notes, and for carrying my baby, of course... but mostly for transcribing my notes.

Lots of activity for Square TV! I just finished speaking with one of the bravest people I've ever met. Miriam Libicki is the creator and author of Jobnik! Our interview with Miriam will
appear on the site in a few days, and in the meantime please visit her at Real Gone Girl dot Com.
The interview w/Eric Peterson of Bad Karma Productions is now up in our Features section. I think you will find him engaging, funny and very real, especially about the comic industry.
Just finished lining up an interview with Benjamin Ilka of Mad Sea Dog Comics. I really dig his artwork!
There are also some new editorials/blogs that have started: Trey Street where Ralph introduces himself with an Iron Man the movie vs. Iron Man the comic book preview (which will now be a bi-monthly look at web comics), Underworld Toy Trade by our secretive inside man JRocka, and Hardly Casual by our l33t harcore raider Svana. More to come from other staff members as the week progresses.
Also, Big Cheef is hard at work on editing and polishing the vodcast this past Wednesday of Ryan Claytor, creator of Elephant Eater Comics. This should be up by the end of the weekend!
As always (at least two weeks) we will keep you informed!

Busy Busy Busy
Aloha, fans and friends. Square TV has been busier than ever (in our short lifetime). Last night I conducted our first phone interview (a phone-er?) with Eric Peterson of Bad Karma Productions. I'm over-the-moon impressed with this young entrepreneur, who is not only very well spoken but thoughtful and wise beyond his years. He really is living "the dream", and I have more than an inkling that he'll be a successful press in the near future. I'm embarrassed to look back on my own life and realize that, at his age, I was still just a commis hack. The full interview will appear on the site in the next few days.
Big Cheef, Michele and I just got back from a very successful and educational vodcast session with Ryan Claytor of Elephant Eater Comics. Ryan was super friendly and hospitable, allowing us to film at his "Mancave". His operation is the epitome of small press, and in my book what I would assume all small press should aspire to be. In plain English, Ryan Claytor embodies the comic industry at its finest. Michele interviewed him like a champ, and I think everyone will be very pleased with her skillz (and she's hot to boot!). Big Cheef is the video master, and has a temperament and directorial sensibility that will make Spielberg proud. He's also got a black belt in Editing; he'll cut up a film with the exactness of a ninja, and twice as deadly. Expect this vodcast to hit the site within the next few days.
We've got a bunch of other interviews just around the corner, and all I can say is that I hope they continue to pour in. We'll (and, by that, I mean the Square TV staff) be ready for anything and everything. Until ... umm.. hm, I don't know, like a few days? .. signing off =)

Long Weekend
Before I forget: HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY
This weekend was probably the longest weekend I've had in a while, mostly due to the overhaul of the website. I've never uploaded as many pics, deleted as many pages, restored them back only to delete them again, and send as many emails in the span of two days as I did over this weekend.
This site should be back up and ready to rock in just a few days.
Comic Con is just around the corner, and the staff at Square TV are slaving to get ready in time. There just aren't enough hours in the day after work/school to feel comfortable with the preparation that is necessary for an undertaking like covering Comic Con.
Here is just a little taste, a quick teaser brought to us by the Big Chief, for our Comic Con coverage:
There is way more to come, including our newest profiles of Elephant Eater Comics and Bad Karma Productions! Stay tuned.
